Community Wardrobe accepting clothing donations in Tarrytown

TARRYTOWN, NY – Clothing donations are needed in Tarrytown by the PTA Horsemen.

The Community Wardrobe is accepting donations in anticipation of its November 2022 shopping days, starting Friday, November 4.

Organizers said they were collecting all cold weather clothing for the whole family, including winter coats and warm boots.

They are looking for the following items:

  • Warm coats and snow pants, all ages and sizes
  • Toiletries: unopened travel toothpaste, dentist gifts, shampoos, etc.
  • period products
  • Small and medium size men’s clothing
  • Dresses and skirts for women, for fall/winter
  • Teen clothing (cold weather): boys and girls

Organizers said people shouldn’t donate anything that’s torn (except jeans), stained, dirty or smells like smoke. They said, if you don’t give it to a friend, don’t give it to us.

Donations can be brought to Shames JCC on Hudson, 371 South Broadway in Tarrytown at the following times:

  • Wednesday, Oct. 26 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.-5 p.m.
  • Thursday, Oct. 27 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.
  • Friday, Oct. 28 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 1 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 2 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 3 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
