INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Boone County Commissioners and the Boone County Economic Development Corporation, in partnership with Dress For Success Indianapolis (DFSI), are hosting a clothing donation drive Aug. 5-15.
DFSI empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a support network, professional attire, and the development tools needed to thrive in their professional and personal lives.
“Dress for Success Indianapolis has a long history of serving women in Marion County, and we are thrilled to partner with them as they work to establish a presence in Boone County,” said the commissioner’s chair. of Boone County, Jeff Wolfe. “The clothing drive is a first step in what we hope will become a long-term partnership that can have a positive impact on the people of Boone County.”
“Women make up a significant percentage of the workforce,” said Sarah Ford, talent development manager at Boone EDC. “It’s important that women have the resources they need to be successful, including a great interview outfit and appropriate attire for the workplace.”
