If you haven’t heard of Lucy & Yak yet, you might as well now, because the eco-conscious, gender-neutral clothing brand has just collaborated with none other than Ed Sheeran.
The singer and the enduring brand have produced a limited-edition capsule collection inspired by artwork from Sheeran’s latest album, Equals. Coming in two releases, the first half arrived today while the second is set to launch on Tuesday.
Featuring everything from signature Lucy & Yak to famous dungarees (a mainstay of Sheeran’s wardrobe), to hoodies, t-shirts and bucket hats, each piece in the unisex collection features a print ecru and black butterfly that winks at the singer’s prize list. registration.
As always, the Lucy & Yak range is all about sustainability, with every garment made from organic cotton and the entirely unsold fabric bucket hats.
Very reasonably priced between £22 for the hats and up to £65 for the dungarees, the capsule has been designed to be worn through the seasons, year after year. From oversized hoodies to classic white tees with a twist, we’ve rounded up the first drop of the collab below.
With Sheeran being a longtime fan of Lucy & Yak’s ethically and organically handcrafted dungarees, it’s no surprise that a pair features in the collab. Lightweight with a relaxed oversized fit, the unisex design is complete with extra large pockets, adjustable tie straps and, of course, the ecru and black abstract butterfly print.
And the singer isn’t the only one who adores the brand’s overalls, with a faded denim pair that was already part of our roundup of the best women’s clothing brands. Our tester praised the denim pair’s retro styling, as well as the brand’s signature five-pocket design, high-waisted fit, belt loops and suspenders. “Slightly oversized and with a straight fit, the length was perfect for our 6ft tester, and there was even room to roll up the hems,” they said. The Sheeran pair is available in two leg lengths with a size between UK 4-32.
An oversized hoodie is another staple of the singer’s wardrobe, which means it’s also no surprise that this bold unisex design took pride of place in the collection.
Again sporting the capsule’s signature ecru and black colourways, the hoodie features a paint splatter effect, dropped shoulder shape, long sleeves and a body length. Made from 100% organic cotton, there’s super soft brushed cotton on the inside for a more comfortable fit. The piece is available in sizes UK6-32.
Every wardrobe needs a classic white t-shirt, whether it’s thrown under your overalls or tucked in at the bottom. This organic cotton t-shirt is adorned with the brand’s signature butterfly and two black lines underneath.
Whether you’re rounding out your festival looks or protecting yourself on vacation, the collaboration’s organic cotton bucket hat is a standout headwear. One side of the reversible hat is finished with an ecru and black abstract butterfly print, while the other offers a simpler off-white design with a singular butterfly. Crafted from unused cotton and spandex, the bucket hat comes in one size. It’s out of stock at the moment but you can ask them to let you know when it’s back in stock.
